Facilities

The Co-op is located in the daylight basement of The University Christian Church at 4759 15th Avenue NE in Seattle. The Co-op adheres to King County's pesticide use policies in its facilities and practices.

Classrooms

We have three classrooms:

• The Sun Room includes toddlers aged approximately 12 months to 2 years (4 to 1 child to teacher ratio).
• The Star Room has young preschoolers aged 2 to 3 years olds (6 to 1 child to teacher ratio).
• The Moon/Comet Room is a combined age group with a pre-K program in the mornings (7 to 1 child to teacher ratio).

Our Other Activity Areas

Gym

Our facilities include a gym with a variety of appropriate climbing equipment (including a climbing/traversing wall) and toys to enhance gross motor skills.

Outdoor Play

Our outdoor play area provides shaded as well as sunny play space with various size slides, bikes, steering wheels, water/sand table, art easel and many opportunities for climbing. Outdoor time, something each room has daily, is one of the best parts of the day.

The University District

We are fortunate to be centrally located in the University district which gives us access to the campus and surrounding facilities. We are near Metro bus lines and are located just a few blocks east of I-5. Cowen and University ("Gorilla") parks are frequent destinations for walks when weather and ratios permit.
